The Wieners+Wieners/Apostroph Group is incorporating current developments in the fields of technology and digitisation into its structure in order to drive growth. Through the merging of leading companies in the language services industry, shared competence centres and the aligning of internal structures, the Group can offer its customers an even more comprehensive portfolio.
Already strongly customer-oriented, the Wieners+Wieners/Apostroph Group is repositioning itself on a broader base in order to further extend its market leadership in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. The Group is strengthening its presence in northern and southern Germany through mergers with two further companies:
In September 2018, the acquisition of the renowned Bremen translation company López-Ebri Fachübersetzungen GmbH was completed. Customers of the Group now enjoy an even wider range of professional translation solutions. Since July 2019, the Munich-based language service provider Burton, Van Iersel & Whitney has also been a part of the corporate group – a leading specialist in high-quality language solutions in the field of corporate communication.
The new corporate division for business and customer solutions makes use of synergy
The newly created cross-sectoral division for business and customer solutions will develop innovative solutions that give customers even more added value. In addition, the Group is broadening its portfolio of services extensively – in particular in relation to the rapid developments in areas such as digitisation and artificial intelligence. Customers of the Group benefit from language solutions in all relevant linguistic and technological areas, for example in the fields of machine translation, connection with content management systems via interfaces and international search engine optimisation.
Wieners+Wieners strengthens its technological advisory expertise
The company sees it as its mission to combine the diligence of a manufactory with the opportunities offered by digitisation – and wishes to advise its customers even better with regard to technological solutions. For this reason, with effect from 1 October 2019, Ulrich Barnewitz, hitherto head of customer service and sales, was appointed managing partner of Wieners+Wieners along with Kai-Dominik Weyel.
‘Translating, adapting and proofreading will remain our core business. Beyond this, we are partners who provide customised innovative solutions wherever internationalisation is concerned,’ says Ulrich Barnewitz. Wieners+Wieners reveals its new positioning with its slogan Fluent in solutions in its rebranded logo.
