Josephine Burmester to speak about networking as a factor for success

Ahrensburg/Berlin – The European non-profit trade association of language service companies, Elia (European Language Industry Association), is hosting the Together industry conference on 23 and 24 February 2017 in Berlin. As part of a panel discussion on the theme of networking as a factor for success, Wieners+Wieners GmbH will be represented in the capital by its expert and freelancer manager Josephine Burmester.

After its successful kick-off event in Barcelona last year, the European Language Industry Association (Elia) is holding the Together networking event in Berlin for translators, language experts and companies in the industry. The conference’s theme is “Communicating for Success”. The decisive growth factors for the industry – relationships, processes and technology – form the thematic umbrella under which a total of 39 speakers will share their experiences and answer questions from the conference participants over the course of two days. The aim of the event is to provide a unique venue for all stakeholders in the language services industry to openly discuss how to improve relationships and efficiency.

One of the speakers, Josephine Burmester, freelancer manager at Wieners+Wieners, will talk about her extensive experience in networking as a factor for success. In her team of three staff, she is the link between the company and an international network of over 1,000 active freelance language experts.
“We at Wieners+Wieners are proud of the fair and cooperative collaboration with our freelancers. This forms one of the pillars that the company’s 25 years of success is built upon,” says Kai-Dominik Weyel, managing partner of Wieners+Wieners. “Elia’s Together event is a great opportunity for the industry to network better, overcome prejudices and learn from one another’s experiences. We are pleased to be able to make an active contribution with Ms Burmester as a speaker and to be represented by an expert in the area of business networking.”

Elia was founded in 2005 and has since become one of the leading trade associations for the language services industry in Europe.
