Managing translation processes

In translation projects, it is crucial that nothing is lost on the way from the source text to the final product in the target language. To achieve this, we use various digital tools. With the help of connectors, for example, translated content – such as for a website – can be exported directly and automatically into a content management system.

For larger translation projects, where several employees work in overlapping substeps, special attention must be paid to consistent language and professional terminology management. Software helps us with this, too:

• CAT tools (computer-assisted translation tools) identify text repetitions, even across projects
• Translation memory systems enable existing texts to be updated, reused and stored
• Termbases serve as digital glossaries to ensure the consistent use of specialist terms

In addition, our customer portal also makes the billing process more transparent. It provides an overview of current and completed orders, budgets and invoices – accessible at any time for all parties involved.

Managing text corrections

When proofreading your texts, we check for accurate spelling, grammar and punctuation. If you require stylistic corrections – or editing – we’ll be just as happy to do this for you. For German texts, we have recently been asked a lot of questions about gendering (gendern). Our German-language experts have a range of suggestions on how to deal with this issue appropriately.

How we actually indicate the necessary corrections depends entirely on your preferences. If you prefer to work with Word documents, we will correct them – and you can accept (or reject) changes with the click of a mouse. If you want the corrections to appear directly in your system, we will link this to our software. We always recommend arranging a call in advance so that our IT experts can get an idea of the task at hand.
